In the first Series of the Great British Sewing Bee, we saw Ann making a Channel style edge to edge jacket from delicious Linton Tweed. This fabric is associated with french couture, yet it’s a British fabric. Hidden in the heart of Carlisle, a town close to the Scottish border – Linton has been producing the highest quality of luxurious tweed since 1912. Jigsaw have been working with Linton tweed to produce their Autumn/Winter collection and have a great blog post on how a garment goes from a sketch to the high street.
